Work Experience Trainers work with students and assign them jobs with the Goodwill organization. Trainers monitor students' progress throughout the school year and work with parents, guardians and teachers to ensure the student develops skills necessary to be successful on the job. Students earn minimum wage while participating in the program.

Crossroads of Pella
Provides information, counseling, and assistance to Medicare recipients living in Pella and surrounding areas. Trained staff and volunteers offer one-on-one guidance about Medicare, medicine, and other insurance options tailored to individual circumstances. Services include counseling on long-term care insurance, helping individuals evaluate benefit plans, select policies, or explore alternatives based on their needs.
Additionally, the program provides Medicaid information and counseling, offering guidance on eligibility requirements, application processes, benefits, managed care options, and the connections between Medicaid and Medicare. Support may include enrollment assistance and referrals to providers who accept State Medicaid health insurance. Free "Welcome to Medicare" seminars are also available, typically held in May and September.
