Offers Child Care Expense Assistance through the Iowa Department of Human services is available to the children of income-eligible parents who are absent for a portion of the day due to employment or participation in academic or vocational training or PROMISE JOBS activities. Offers home visits to seniors and their families informing them of programs that will enable seniors to remain as independent and living at home as long as possible. The senior information specialist assists with benefits applications, answers questions concerning Medicare, supplemental insurance, help at home, and more.

Offers a nursery service for any family in the community with a child, or children who are in need of temporary child care during a crisis, emergency, or stressful situation.

Family enhancement support services are also offered, including parent support groups, case management services, and home visiting.

Provides clinical mental health screening and referral services. Can also provide technical assistance to service providers, conducting group-based learning and healing programs and providing holistic case management in emergencies involving refugees facing mental health crises. Referrals for in-house clinical therapy for individuals, families and groups are accepted on a case-by-case basis.

Provides library services. Items that may be borrowed from or used in the library include books, music recordings, videos and DVDs, audiobooks; computer software, magazines, and newspapers. The library also has computers and WiFi for public access. There are also library sponsored programs for all ages offered.

Offers scholarships, amounts are dependent of funding levels, to income eligible individuals who are planning to attend accredited Illinois University, community college, technical or vocational schools. Preference is given to applicants of racial or ethnic minorities.

LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) assists low-income homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season. Also encourages households to make regular utility payments, to promote energy awareness and to encourage reduction of energy usage. All customers applying for this prgram will simultaneously be making an application for weatherization assistance as required by state law. Assistance is based on household income. size, type of fuel, and type of housing. Applications accepted October 1-April 30 for the elderly and disabled households and November 1-April 30 for the rest of the households.

Outpatient Therapy Services include intakes, therapy, crisis intervention, EAP therapy, substance use evaluations and education.
