Offers Partner Abuse Intervention Program, (P.A.I.P.) is most often completed by individuals who have been accused of, or have engaged in, abusive behaviors with a significant other. This program focuses on resolving the root of the problem to help with long term change. Program is designed to help clients unlearn problematic behaviors, and understand why they are problematic, so you can have healthy relationships in the future. Healthy communication, respect, and conflict resolution are focused upon during the program.
Eyes Open Iowa
Offers training, resources, and support for educators, parents, and other adults who teach sexual health, as well as direct programming for youth across Iowa. Services include professional development for teachers, curriculum support, youth leadership opportunities, and technical assistance on adolescent sexual health. Programs are designed to be inclusive, medically accurate, and age-appropriate. Also leads a Youth Advisory Council to ensure young people have a voice in shaping the conversations that affect them.

Offers a food pantry, includes dairy, eggs, meat, vegetarian options, dry goods, fresh produce and personal hygiene supplies may also be available. Pick up orders can be made online and picked up on Thursday. Individuals are offered Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners during the holidays.

Provides an emergency shelter for domestic or sexual violence victims. In this supportive environment, residents are able to focus on their safety and make plans for the future. Living arrangements are communal, with dorm-style bedrooms and a shared kitchen, living room and bathrooms.
Oakridge Neighborhood Services
Provides an educationally based after-school/out-of-school programs for students grades K-12 focused on increasing math and reading proficiency, increasing school attendance, as well as decreasing suspensions (in and out of school) and system involvement. This is accomplished through literacy/reading and math classes, individualized homework assistance, career exploration and planning, plus one-to-one and group tutoring sessions. Students are provided instruction by certified teachers, as well as enrichment activities and other social and emotional supports by academic intervention specialists.

Wabash Area Development - Edwards County
Assists low-income homeowners and renters pay for a portion of their primary heating costs for the winter heating season. Assistance is based on household income, size, type of fuel and type of housing. Application period is from October 1-August 31 for elderly and disabled households and November 1-August 31 for the rest of the households. Persons applying must meet 200% poverty guidelines.
LIHEAP also offers a crisis program that may be able to assist homeowners who are with no heat or limited heat. The furnace component for crisis runs October 1-April 30th.

Iowa State University Extension and Outreach - Henry County

Participants will practice skills, play learning games, and do family projects in highly interactive sessions. Sessions are designed to increase family bonding, build positive communication skills, and solve problems together.

Loan terms and requirements are set by the bank or other qualified lender and loan amounts vary by energy efficiency measure.
