Offers free volunteer placement in Allamakee, Clayton, northern Fayette, Howard, and Winneshiek Counties for seniors over the age of 55. Volunteers may choose where they would like to volunteer and how much time they want to devote to volunteering. Possible volunteer opportunities include tutoring youth, leading activities, assisting with the food pantry, visiting nursing home residents, and performing office duties. Accommodations are made for seasonal volunteering.

Thanksgiving food count as the monthly pantry for November. One pantry distribution per address. IDs are required for each household member. Forms of ID accepted:
- Driver’s license,

- Housing Authority ID,

- Mug shot,
- Social Security Card,
- Birth certificate,
- Medicaid/Medicare card.
Clients may not receive food at one pantry and receive food at the other. Clients attempting to receive food at more than one Heartland Hope pantry per address will be denied.
