Client assistance grants provides limited financial assistance for adaptive equipment, removing barriers in the home, and provides scholarships for special programs.

Tech Tools, a developmental technology library, provides adapted toys and devices to people of all ages with individual and physical disabilities at no cost to families and professionals. Libraries are located in Omaha, Gretna, Lincoln, Norfolk, Grand Island, Fremont, and Kearney.

Family Focus is a series of events throughout the year designed for the entire family unit bringing families facing similar challenges together and providing the opportunity to draw strength and knowledge as well as relax and socialize.

Clinton County Commission of Veterans Affairs - Satellite Office

County level services provide direct emergency economic aid for vital necessities to veterans, their widow, and dependents, according to their needs. Personal visits for assistance and claims to housebound veterans or dependents. Must have an honorable or under honorable conditions discharge from active duty or wartime service. Must be a resident in Iowa for the past one year and 6 months of that year in Clinton County.

State level services do not require wartime service. Assists in completing applications for the Iowa Veterans Aid Fund, fee exempt fishing and hunting permits, applications to the Iowa Veterans Home, waivers of tuition.

Federal level services provide and/or complete Veteran Administration forms for claims relating but not limited to service connected compensation, disability pension, widow's pension, burial allowance, grave markers/headstones, educational benefits, home loans, insurance, indebtedness, and character of service upgrades.

Matura Adair County Outreach Center

Energy assistance program for low income households with assistance paying part of fuel bills through the winter months (Federal Fuel Assistance Program). Applications are accepted November-April. For those that are elderly or disabled, applications are accepted October-April. Call for an appointment. A letter has been sent to those who may be eligible for early application in August or September. **This program is not designed to pay a household's total energy costs. The program will provide supplemental assistance based on several factors. This is a one-time payment to your energy provider.

TASC - Areas 5 and 6 (West Central and East Central Illinois)

Provides substance use assessments and case management services for courts across Illinois.

Clients may be mandated to TASC as an alternative to incarceration at the time of sentencing, or they may be referred post-sentence when they're on probation. TASC case managers conduct clinical assessments, advocate for treatment for those who need it, develop individualized service plans, and place clients into treatment and recovery support services. TASC also reports client progress to the court, and provides monitoring and guidance as clients work their way through the recovery process.
