Early Head Start Burwell Calamus
Family resource program to support parents in educating and nurturing their children. The program provides parents with opportunities to move toward self-sufficiency by working with other community organizations. Health and mental health services are also provided to participants.
Program helps parents better understand their child’s stages of development with individualized visits in the home. The weekly visits are 90 minutes in length and are designed to meet the needs of each family. Staff will assist families in planning activities that encourage the child’s growth. Social activities will be held twice monthly to provide the opportunity to interact with your child and other families.
IMPACT Community Action Partnership – Jasper County
Provides a recreation pass that provides a discount to families for activities at the Knoxville Recreation Center. Families who qualify receive 50% off of monthly passes to use the fitness rooms, pool and much more.

- Transgender Support Group: Support group for adult transgender men and women.
- TransParent Group: Support group for parents of children who are transgender or gender nonbinary. Parents meet via Zoom and discuss ways to support their children and advocate on their behalf.
- Bisexual Group: Support group for bisexual adults.
Also offers a non-monogamy group, neurodiverse group, recovery group, young adult group, and LGBTQ+ parent group.

Offers a choice food pantry to help feed struggling community members in need, providing non-perishable food, fresh and frozen produce, bread, dairy, and proteins. Volunteers escort visitors through the pantry, ensuring they are able to obtain the food they need to feed their families.
Southern Seven Health Department - Union County
Head Start is an educational program to help prepare children for transition into kindergarten and provides health screenings and nutrients. Transportation is available at most locations. Early Head Start is specific to meet the developmental needs of infants and toddlers. Offers home-based options with a weekly visit from a teacher in the family's home along with two special days a month for activities with other families.
Plains Area Mental Health - Clubhouse - Carroll
Supported Community Living and Home Based Community Services to provide the support necessary to assist adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses to live, work and enjoy recreational opportunities in community settings and live as independently as possible.
Community Support Services include monitoring mental health symptoms, transportation, supportive relationships, communication with other providers, assistance in attending appointments and obtaining medication, and crisis intervention.
Day Habilitation programs provide daily structure and positive support to help clients establish relationships.
