Assists seniors and low-income families prepare their tax returns Feb-April 2026 - appointment line opens in early January. Services also include property tax forms and rent reimbursements.

Consultation and education for community groups, agencies, families, and individuals. Anyone may request educational information, use mental health resources, and seek service consultation to aid in planning, designing, directing, coordinating, providing, or improving programs, services, or individual lives, and arrange for a public speaker to address a group or agency.

County level services include providing direct emergency economic aid for vital necessities to veterans, their widow, and dependents, according to their needs. Personal visits for assistance and claims to housebound veterans or dependents. Must have an honorable or under honorable conditions discharge from active duty and wartime service. Must be a resident in Nebraska for the past one year and 6 months of that year in Dodge County.

State level services do not require wartime service; completes applications for the Nebraska Veterans Aid Fund. Fee exempt fishing and hunting permits for veterans with 50% or more service connected disabilities, and $5.00 fee for all eligible veterans 64 years old or older. Applications to the Nebraska Veterans Homes, waivers of tuition.

Federal level services include providing and/or completing Veteran Administration forms for claims relating but not limited to service connected compensation, disability pension, widow's pension, burial allowance, grave markers/headstones, educational benefits, home loans, insurance, indebtedness, and character of service upgrades.

Offers services for homeless youth and their families. Helps students enroll or stay in school. Connects families to community resources for health, transportation, food, and more.

Offers services including community health programs, disease information, control, and prevention, emergency preparedness programs through Alert Iowa, and support services such as personal care assistance for individuals, including help with hygiene, clothing care, mobility, and other essential daily activities to promote health and comfort.

Vocational, residential, and day services support and training to persons with developmental disabilities and/or related conditions.

Offers alternative arrangements for those ordered to complete community service in Kossuth County. Those with fees, and/or fines, can volunteer with community agencies to both complete their mandatory community service, and to also help pay down those fees/fines. Individuals participating in the program will not see any money as the money they earn through the program goes directly back to their fees/fines.

Offers pediatrics, well child visits, developmental screenings and guidance on nutrition, growth and safety to support children's well-being up to age 21.

IMPACT accepts donations from Jun 1-Sep 30, of NEW fans and window AC units and might have funding to purchase units as well. Units can be provided to families on an as-needed, and as-available basis. When available, units are only available at in-person offices for pick-up.

City government offices. Utility System services include electric, water, trash, and sewer.

Works to ensure that people with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve greater independence, personal choice, self-awareness, and wellness opportunities. 

Offers early childhood preschool programs, Head Start and Early Head Start, in both a center and in-home based settings. Programs are offered for free to eligible families who have children six-weeks to four-years-old.
