Provides 24 hour supported community living to individuals with intellectual disability, brain injury, respite services, agency direct attendant care services under the following waivers, elderly waiver, physical disability waiver, HIV AIDS waiver or a health and disability waiver

Offers therapy that uses animals to treat patients emotionally and physically. The therapy is very effective in treating veterans, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral issues, depression, anxiety, attachment issues, and numerous other common concerns of clients.

Offers guidance on available programs, services, and technology, and supports individuals and organizations in navigating communication access and accessibility across Nebraska.

Services include:

- Information and referral to statewide and local resources.

- Sign language interpreter referral service.

- Advocacy and education on deaf culture, communication access, and disability rights.

- Guidance on accessibility solutions, including interpreters, assistive technology, and communication tools.

- Support in understanding rights and responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

- Connection to programs such as the Nebraska Specialized Telecommunications Equipment Program (NSTEP) and the Hearing Aid Bank (HAB).

Provides medical and cash assistance for customers who are 65 years of age or older, blind, or disabled. Also includes the QMB (Qualified Medicare Beneficiary) program which provides payment of Medicare premiums and some Medicare co-payments.

The online application is called "Application for Benefits Eligibility (ABE)."  When applying, the state will determine the applicant's eligibility for this AABD, as well as SNAP and medical assistance (Medicaid).

Offers a food program that provides a 3 to 5 day supply of cereals, canned fruits, juices, soups, vegetables, and garden produce (when in season). Also offers free personal items such as soap, toothpaste, other goods, and used clothing.

Offers a program for parents and youth individuals ages 10-14 to work together and build relationships. Participants will practice skills, play learning games, and do family projects in highly interactive sessions. Sessions are designed to increase family bonding, build positive communication skills, and solve problems together. 

Christmas gifts and food in partnership with county partners.

As of 11/20/25, no longer accepting applications but community members may still call and see if the office might have extra gift cards to Dollar Fresh and Family Fare grocery stores in Richardson County for food for the families (distributed on December 14th).

Provides health legal services that helps individuals and families obtain and maintain Medicaid and Medicare and obtain coverage for services needed. Can also assist with medical assistance denials, terminations, spend down issues (Medicaid, Medicare), establishing powers of attorney, nursing home discharges, helping family members obtain guardianship or other legal authority to care for loved ones, and helping people with HIV/AIDS obtain care and services.

Offers parenting support and education for women and men along with material assistance in the form of diapers, wipes, baby supplies, and more.

Works with all school districts within the area to ensure that students who do not have a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence receive the same rights to an education as other students.

Assistance can be provided for many services that are required by school districts such as:

- The choice of staying in the school of origin or attending the school nearest their shelter or temporary home.

- Immediate enrollment even when medical records cannot be produced at time of enrollment.

- School supplies.

- Tutoring, after-school educational programs, correspondence classes.

- Student records, birth certificates, physicals, and immunizations.

- Health referral.

- Emergency transportation.

Sober living recovery homes and halfway houses provide wraparound support for individuals in early recovery. Also offers supportive housing for individuals living with mental health disorders.

Adult outpatient services include therapy, specialty care such as TMS therapy and MAT, family support and education, psychiatric care, intensive community-based case management, and fulfillment of legal behavioral healthcare requirements related to court systems.

Provides a voluntary program for individuals receiving Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to assist with skill development and employment. Services include job search support, structured job search activities, and classroom training, which includes computer literacy instruction to help participants learn or improve their skills in using computers, hardware, and various software applications.

Emergency operations center for the County, which handles emergency response incidents, including accidents, fires, floods, storms and other disasters. Also responsible for requesting federal assistance after a disaster.

Information pertaining to all aspects of Huntington's Disease. Referrals to local support groups, chapter social workers, physicians, nursing home, and a variety of other resources via local representatives.

Offers education, information, and mutual support for individuals with endometriosis and related conditions. Provides resources about Endometriosis Surgery, Adenomyosis Disease/Surgery, and opportunities to connect with support groups where participants can share information, resources, practical tips, and encouragement related to managing these health conditions.
