Provides community programs and support for workers struggling to address navigating public legal and benefit systems. 

Primary medical care services are available for most minor or intermediate illnesses.

Additional services include adult physicals, community wellness groups, and health screenings targeting individuals at high risk for conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, or cancer. Prescription assistance is provided to support medication needs. The program also offers nutrition education, which includes guidance on healthful eating, food handling, preparation, shopping skills, and the relationship between nutrition and overall health. Information and counseling about Affordable Care Act (ACA) insurance options are available, including assistance with enrollment in health insurance plans through the marketplaces, facilitated by trained navigators and application counselors. All services are open to individuals regardless of background or circumstances.

Offers a range of outpatient services for individuals in need. Including intensive outpatient program (IOP) for individuals who require more support than traditional outpatient therapy but do not need 24-hour supervision. IOP is an ideal choice for individuals transitioning from inpatient care or need structured support while continuing with your daily life. Services also include a standard outpatient program for individuals who have completed more intensive levels of care or who require ongoing support to maintain their recovery. Or a partial hospitalization program (PHP) which offers a higher level of care for individuals who need intensive treatment but do not require overnight hospitalization. PHP is ideal if you are transitioning from residential care or need comprehensive support to stabilize your recovery while living at home.

Offers in-home and in the facility respite care services for adults.

Offers resources for people of all ages with disabilities of all kinds. Library collections have information for, by, and about people with disabilities. Materials come in a variety of formats -- books, DVDs, training curricula, software, and assistive technology.

Materials in the DRL Catalog are available on three-week loan to individuals and agencies in the University of Iowa Health Care service area.

Provides a food pantry. 

Advises and aids veterans and their dependents in applying for federal benefits through compensation or pension claims. Emergency financial assistance for basic necessities such as rent or mortgage payments, utilities and burial expense assistance may be available. Can also assists with applications for benefits made available by federal, state or local laws.

Provides free public education including preschool education for homeless children in need. Allows immediate enrollment even when medical records cannot be produced at the time of enrollment. Assistance with transportation, may be provided if needed.
