This program will help participants prepare for the class, enroll into the DMACC CDL program at no cost, and obtain a job after completion. Participants will also qualify for “Jump Start” training specially designed to help English Language Learners.

Provides an alternative to the bail bond system by conducting interviews with arrestees to determine their social and criminal history and assess their ties to the community. Offers recommendations to the court for release based on these assessments. Also supports individuals transitioning from incarceration by facilitating formal supervision and monitoring to ensure compliance with legal conditions and promote successful reintegration into the community.

Offers free books to incarcerated individuals in Illinois. Books are sent at no cost, by mail, and in Champaign County jail and Juvenile Detention Center. Services also include volunteers interacting with the prisoners by reading their letters, select books from a collection of donated materials, and shipping those books directly to them in response to their requests, or by entering the county jail once a week to provide books and library services.
