Survivor Empowerment Center - One Stop
Provides shelter to individuals or families who are seeking safety from domestic abuse. Individuals who are homeless for reasons unrelated to domestic violence may be offered shelter, must call for availability.

Provides a 24-week domestic abusers education program. -- For men in Waterloo, the intake/orientations are held the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of the month at 4 pm and the 3rd Friday of the month at 9 am. LIHEAP (low income home energy assistance program) provides assistance with a utility bill. Applications are accepted November 1 – April 30; for elderly (60+) or disabled individuals applications are accepted starting October 1. Income must fall within 200% of poverty guideline. Call for an appointment. A letter has been sent to those who may be eligible for early application in August or September.
**This program is not designed to pay a household's total energy costs. The program will provide supplemental assistance based on several factors. This is a one-time payment to your energy provider.
