Serves families interested in adopting a child. Allows birth parents and adoptive parents to design an adoption plan that is in the best interest of the child, and recognizes the importance of the adoptive parents and birth parents developing an on-going relationship. Provides full day, year-round Therapeutic Day School approved by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE). Students primarily come from local public school districts when the student requires a more intensive placement to meet their needs.

Provides each child individual developmental needs in sensory regulation, communication, rate of learning, style of learning, behaviors, present level performance and previous education experience.

Transition programming teaches life skills needed after school ends at age 22.

Platte Valley Literacy Association

GED classes help adult students improve reading, math, science, and/or social studies knowledge, to help students pass the GED test and earn the equivalent of a high school diploma.

Citizenship classes help students prepare for the naturalization interview, as well as the 100 questions used for the civics portion of the naturalization test to become a US citizen. Classes meet twice a week, with one class being held in Columbus and one in Schuyler. Morning or evening classes are available, and students may start anytime during the year and continue for as long as needed until they have the confidence to pass the citizenship test. Classes are taught entirely in English; students must have a basic understanding of English to attend.

English as a Second Language (ESL) classes help students learn English through conversation, writing, and listening.

One-on-one employability skills help individuals look for and apply for jobs and are tailored to specific needs.
