Cunningham Township
Provides temporary support up to $425 per month for Urbana residents who are disabled. Participants cannot be receiving any other cash benefit such as SSI/SSDI, TANF, or AABD. Assistance is provided regardless of immigration or criminal conviction status to the extent allowed by law.
Free printing, scanning and help with emailing documentation can be found at the Urbana Library, across the street from the Township.
Salvation Army - Quincy Family Services
Offers case management services to families with at least one child under the age of 18. Case management works to help families reach stability. Goals created are client-oriented, and case managers connect clients to job training, health services, housing options, legal help, education, and more.
Illinois Putative Father Registry
Online registry designed for fathers who may not be living with their child's mother or who may not be legally recognized as a father. Registry information is used to locate a father in the event that his child is being placed for adoption. The site is designed to protect his confidentiality and rights as a father.
Interested parties may also search the registry, but must register before viewing the registry. These include:
- A child's mother or father.
- A child welfare agency to whom the mother has expressed an interest in making an adoption plan.
- The potential adoptive parents.
- The attorney for any one of the above parties.
Salvation Army MHR Fontenelle
State licensed residential program that offers support to individuals who need assistance transitioning back into the community after a psychiatric crisis. Temporary residence is provided for (28) days at two locations (32 total beds, 16 at each location). The intent of the service is to support the participant throughout the transition or break, provide linkages to needed services, and assist in stabilization and transition back into the community.
Program components include the following services: periodic safety checks and monitoring, medication monitoring and education, assistance with activities of daily living, limited transportation, and overnight accommodation including food and lodging; linkage to psychiatric services, referrals to needed community services and supports including, but not limited to, behavioral health services, substance abuse treatment services, and community housing; and 24 hour staffing.

Offered to children and adults who have have or need help with brain injuries, developmental disabilities or psychiatric case management. and who are eligible for Medicaid through the State’s Fee for Service Program (FFS) or Health Insurance Premium Payment (HIPP) Program.

- Guardianships of minors and adults to ensure safety and stability.
Salvation Army of Decatur and Macon County
Provides housing, meals, clothing, case management, life skills, health care and mental health care referrals, substance abuse treatment referrals, financial and job skills coaching, socialization and recreation opportunities to assist men experiencing homelessness to overcome the barriers that keep them from becoming housed and self-sufficient.
Cold Weather Shelter "Cold Cots": During the winter months when the temperatures are severely cold, the cold weather shelter opens expanding the 30 bed men's shelter to handle an additional 20 men providing them with a cot, a meal, and access to showers while space is available.
