Tai Chi and Bingo-cize fall prevention classes held in communities to help decrease falls in the community.

School nursing.

Substance abuse prevention through the Healthy Communities Initiative. Coalition works together to provide education and activities to reduce drug and alcohol use among youth.

Dental screenings and education offered to preschool and grade school children. Sealants and fluoride treatments also available.

Childhood and adult vaccines for all people are provided at each of Elkhorn Logan Valley Public Health Department's three locations in Norfolk, Tekamah and Wisner. Includes vaccines for those who are privately insured, Medicare, Medicaid and those who are uninsured.

Provides respite in home service allowing caregivers time outside the home for errands or personal time.

Offers mental health evaluations. Services include anxiety disorders screening, clinical psychiatric evaluation, depression screening, early intervention for mental illness, gambling addiction screening, and general mental health screening.

Group-focused non-residential services for substance abusing clients who require a more structured or more intensive treatment approach than can be provided in an outpatient program but do not require residential services. Individuals receiving these particular services have been formally assessed and have been diagnosed with either a substance abuse or substance dependency diagnosis.

Provides protection and emergency response services for the city of Northwood, including operating a telephone response system to assess emergency assistance requests and dispatch appropriate agencies such as law enforcement, fire services, paramedics, or ambulance services.

Offers supportive care. Patients may receive visits or phone calls from a nurse practitioner, a nurse, or a social worker. Supportive care offers visits at FHN offices and at FHN Memorial Hospital, in long-term care facilities, and in the home for those unable to travel to the clinic due to physical disabilities or distressing symptoms.
