Veterans Path to Hope
Offers comprehensive support to veterans, military personnel, and their families to address challenges related to deployments, reintegration, and accessing entitled benefits. The program is staffed by certified veteran peer support specialists who provide peer-to-peer mentoring, group support, and therapeutic counseling.
Assistance is available to help veterans understand and access the full range of benefits and services they are entitled to, including guidance on eligibility criteria, application processes, and representation in administrative or legal matters.
Veterans and their family members are encouraged to drop in or call with any concern; if the agency cannot directly assist, it is part of a network that can provide additional resources. Programs include the Voices of Veterans writing group, which meets monthly; a weekly support group for Vietnam veterans; and a Wednesday evening gathering for OIF/OEF veterans focused on food and camaraderie. Additional support meetings are initiated as needs arise.

Staff encourages high school dropouts to return to school.

Also offers a bridges program, that includes a full-time educational option for students who wish to catch up to a grade level or retrieve missed credits due to poor school attendance.

Rockford Sexual Assault Counseling - Oregon/Ogle County
Medical advocates respond to the hospital when a patient is victim of sexual assault to provide emotional support, clothing, and information regarding hospital procedures. Advocates help educate the victim about their options for hospital procedures and pressing charges. The advocate serves as a liaison between the victim, the police, and ER personnel. Advocates and staff respond to hospital calls 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Legal advocates provide guidance and support for victims of sexual assault and abuse as they go through the legal system. As a victim of a violent crime in Illinois, they are entitled to advocacy services. The legal advocate also works closely with the State's Attorney's Office and is available to help with questions relating to court and provide emotional support.
Community Crops Program - Family Service Lincoln
Individuals and families can rent community garden plots on a sliding-scale fee basis. Community gardeners get access to land, tools, water, seeds, and other resources to help them grow their own food.
The farm program is for individuals wanting to grow food to sell as a business. The program offers land access and technical assistance to beginning farmers.
Also provides free educational workshops on growing food and food business topics.
Helps bring SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks to the Hub Farmers Market at 21st & Q during the growing season.

The Population Health team is a free resource available to help patients reach their health and wellness goals.
Nurse Health Coaches work one-on-one with patients and their families to evaluate health needs, environmental factors, and other barriers to their health and wellness. They then help patients establish plans and goals to achieve a healthy lifestyle, working closely with local and state resources to ensure that each person receives the support that they need.
Bloomington/Normal Illinois Depression and Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Offers a self-help group for adults with Depression & Bipolar Disorder. The purpose of the group is to offer a supportive place for people with depression and bipolar disorder to gather on a regular basis for support and encouragement.
